Center faculty members include survey and clinical trials methodologists who have conducted numerous studies using observational and experimental design, including studies to evaluate the impact of health policy and clinical trials to test novel approaches to health care delivery.

Center faculty members have diverse expertise that includes a broad array of methodological approaches, from the analysis and management of large complex data sets, to the management of specific surveys, and to the conduction of qualitative interviews.

Projects have used Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims data; the federally mandated nursing home Minimum Data Set, consisting of resident assessment data collected by all nursing homes in the U.S as well as the compiled annual surveys of nursing home certification (OSCAR), provider of service (POS); national survey data; cancer registry data; and public health data sets collected for surveillance purposes.
