Ms. Armstrong received her B.A. in Mathematics with a minor in Art History from Brown University in 1967. She attended Yale Graduate School studying the History of Science and Medicine. She has been an employee at Brown since February 2002. Ms. Armstrong has worked closely with Dr. Melissa Clark on research pertaining to women’s health. Most of her work has been on the Cancer Screening Project for Women, a five year study funded by the National Cancer Institute. Ms. Armstrong has designed and programmed computer systems since 1968. Prior to joining Brown University, she worked at M.I.T. as well as a variety of corporate institutions.
