Ms. Bayha began working at the Center in 1993 as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Having worked as a Registered Nurse in various clinical settings within area hospitals and the community, she brings a diverse background of expertise to the Center. Throughout her nursing career, Ms. Bayha has developed a professional relationship with many physicians and nurses within Rhode Island which has paved the way in providing a working relationship between the medical and research community. Her duties at the Center encompass both medical and research responsibilities, which include the acquisition of clinical data from hospitals and physician offices, the development and implementation of healthcare interventions, and site visit evaluations... Her communication skills within the medical field has served her well in not only obtaining required information for research projects from human subjects, but also in the development of a therapeutic relationship with research participants, many of whom are involved in End-of Life issues.

Ms. Bayha is a graduate of Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing, and received her BSN at Salve Regina University, Magna Cum Laude. She has also attended Rhode Island College and is certified as a School Nurse Teacher. She has worked as a clinical nurse at The Miriam Hospital, Kent Home Care, and the East Greenwich School Department.
