Develop and distribute a consumer guide outlining issues surrounding end-of-life care in Rhode Island. The guide will provide consumers with information on what to expect, and what resources are available to them. This guide will be inserted into the Providence Sunday Journal, and distributed State-wide.
Publicize PBS special "On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying" through local media, "town hall" meetings, and community workshops.
Create a certificate program for persons named as a proxy in Durable Power of Attorney, with part of the focus of the training on pain management.
Develop and distribute a policy-maker's guide to end-of-life care in Rhode Island, to be distributed to State legislators.
Create a speaker resource bureau to attend local workshops and speak about hospice, pain management and spirituality at end-of-life.
