On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research, welcome to our website. The mission of the center is to enhance the quality of life of persons with chronic illnesses, especially older adults, through both methodological and substantial research. The research focus, both basic and applied, draws upon the social sciences as well as the clinical disciplines.

Some important information about the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research includes:

  • A 20 year Postdoctoral Program in health service research, with emphasis in geriatrics, gerontology, and chronic disease management. Each year, there are openings for two postdoctoral positions.
  • Currently, there are over 15 accomplished investigators at the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research with a research portfolio in excess of 20 million dollars. Information about our faculty, their accomplishments, and research can be found here.
