Ms.
Laliberte received both her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tufts University, Medford,
Massachusetts, and her J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.
She is an attorney, health policy analyst and health services researcher with
broad experience in Medicare and Medicaid issues. She served as the Center's
Associate Director for Administration for nearly 15 years, leading the post-doctoral
seminars devoted to the critical, practical aspects of health services research-budgeting,
staffing, the organization of the grant application, and resource control, including
supervision, quality control procedures and reporting requirements. Additionally,
Ms. Laliberte applies her legal and policy training to Medicare regulations
and legislation and has directed teams conducting policy analyses of proposed
or actual changes. She is currently working on a project with the Rhode Island
Department of Human Services to improve access to health insurance as well as
a project with the Progeria Research Foundation to develop a medical and research
database to advance treatment for this rare disease.
