Dr. Rogers is the Senior Data Manager for the multi-generational New England Family Study, a TTURC (Transdisciplinary Tobacco Use in Research Centers) project. She also serves as a project analyst for this study. She received her PhD in Sociology from Brown in 2002, with concentrations in quantitative methods and mortality and morbidity in the United States. She conducted postdoctoral research in the Population Studies and Training Center from 2002 to 2003 and then worked at the Centers for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine (CBPM) at The Miriam Hospital, where she managed the data management and computer support teams. She also served as the statistical programmer for CBPM, lending her expertise to many projects, including secondary data analysis of the Nationwide Inpatient Study (NIS), the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS), the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health), the Commonwealth Fund's Survey on Disparities in Quality of Health Care, as well as clinical trials. She became involved in the TTURC project while at the Miriam and then moved to Brown when the project moved here last year.
